AHP Returns and Refund Policy

Avent Herbal Products only accepts returns for defective items within the allowed period, opened or tampered products are not eligible for refunds.

1. Introduction

This Returns & Refund Policy forms part of Avent Herbal Products’ General Terms and Conditions and complies with applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.


2. Important Notice – Non-Returnable Items

For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, Avent Herbal Products does not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Products with opened, damaged, removed, or tampered packaging

  • Products of a personal or intimate nature

  • Medicines, herbal remedies, mixtures, or liquids once opened

  • Food products

  • Gift cards (Avent Herbal Products or third-party, physical or digital)


3. Conditions for Returns

To qualify for a return, the following must all be met:

  • Proof of purchase (tax invoice or distributor/agent slip)

  • Valid proof of identification

  • Product returned within 15 days of purchase

  • Product is unused, unopened, unexpired, and undamaged

  • All original packaging, labels, accessories, and components included

  • Product is legally eligible for return

Failure to meet these conditions may result in the return being declined or partially refunded.


4. Unwanted or Incorrect Purchases

You may return an unwanted product if:

  • It is unopened, unused, and in original condition

  • It is returned within 15 days of purchase or delivery

  • It includes the original invoice

Approved returns may qualify for:

  • A refund

  • A replacement

  • An exchange of equal value

  • Store credit or voucher (at management discretion)


5. Defective or Faulty Products

Defective products may be returned within 4 months of purchase.

  • Notify us immediately upon discovering the defect

  • Free collection will be arranged where applicable

  • Once inspected and approved, we will issue a replacement or refund


6. Damaged Items on Delivery

If your order arrives damaged or incomplete:

  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery

  • We will arrange free collection

  • After inspection, the product will be replaced or refunded


7. Online Returns

For online returns, Avent Herbal Products reserves the right to request:

  • Clear photographs of the product

  • A written explanation detailing the reason for return

A collection fee of R100 may apply for online return collections.
Reasonable transport or handling costs may be deducted where applicable.


8. Handling Fees

  • Opened or damaged packaging may incur a handling fee of up to 20%

  • Incomplete returns may result in partial refunds or refusal

  • All liquid products that are opened are non-returnable


9. Refunds

Refunds are not automatic and are subject to inspection and management approval.

Refunds may be issued via:

  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)

  • Credit or debit card reversal

  • Store credit or gift card (at our discretion)

Processing time: 10–15 working days (bank-dependent)

Required documentation for EFT refunds:

  • Proof of payment

  • Invoice issued upon purchase


10. Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are non-refundable and non-exchangeable

  • If a digital gift card is not received, contact us within 1 month for re-issue


11. Warranty

Certain products may carry a manufacturer’s warranty in addition to this policy.


12. Product Use & Liability

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are stored, handled, and used correctly. Avent Herbal Products shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of products.


13. Claims

No claims shall be entertained relating to product defects or suitability beyond the provisions of this policy and applicable law.
